A League of Gentlemen opens on 2nd April 2024 at The National Trust of Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum, Saumarez Park.
Stories of heroism, bravery, and patriotism weave their way through artefacts connected to Island men from 1700s until the mid-20th century.
‘The Boys in the Boater’ centerpiece deserves special mention, being a thought-provoking exhibition set around signatures of boys inscribed in an Elizabeth College boater from around 1937. At its heart, the far from mundane Elizabeth College boater, transforms into a powerful symbol, encapsulating the collective experiences of a generation.
The exhibition runs until October 2025.

The Costume Curation, Research and Display team at National Trust of Guernsey for research, design and mounting one of the most outstanding exhibitions we have had the privilege to display, in addition to being the only Costume Museum in the Channel Islands.
