Cutting Edge Silhouettes are Sue Henry’s intricate, hand-cut paper artwork. Anything goes – from Guernsey sea life, to a monochrome portrait of newlyweds dancing and even a dog, wearing a Christmas hat, riding a Harley Davidson! It all started when a blank space on her kitchen wall was crying out to be filled and Sue created a large piece in Andy Warhol style, of Archie, their Giant Schnauzer.
Personalised commissions are popular, but other pieces are also available.
‘Hoot!’ is a mother and daughter creative business for the Henry farmily. Building on from Sue’s success with Cutting Edge Silhouettes, she can only think of Hoot! as being her second ‘light bulb’ moment! Having a clear idea in her mind of what she wanted to produce, but not having the technical know-how, she turned to her photographer daughter, Lucy James and a successful partnership was created.
Sue and Lucy produce unique, personalised photographic artwork for wall display. Any name, location, word or initial can be created in a variety of different themes from seaside, wild flowers, fairies, Lego, Smarties and Loom Bands, to name but a few. Hoot! are constantly adding to their list of themes.
Taking a closer look at what makes up the letters, it’s easy to see how any theme works into Hoot! style. From football heroes to favourite beaches, a Ruby Wedding in Australia to a newborn in Zimbabwe, they’ve have all been made.
Your ideas are your opportunity to give someone a unique Hoot! piece. The finished print can be rolled up and sent in a bright red postal tube, or framed in a variety of options.
