The National Trust of Guernsey would like to thank the many thousands of people who came along to its 48th Lé Viaër Marchi, last evening. We are still counting numbers, but it looks as though around 6,000+ visitors enjoyed  a fine evening, celebrating the very best of Guernsey heritage, through music, song and traditional stalls of all kinds.

The weather looked kindly upon us all, from set-up, during the party and taking down the event. A warm feeling remains, that last night’s Viaër Marchi was very much enjoyed by so many people and, that the spirit of a true Guernsey Evening lives on. It means a great deal to the Trust to be able to host this important event in our calendar year, which, as overheard last night, is counted by many Islanders’ as their favourite event of the year.

Since 1970, Lé Viaër Marchi has been enjoyed by nearly 200,000 visitors and supported by a few thousand stallholders and volunteers too. We are indebted to you all.

Thank you for sharing the best of Guernsey’s heritage and … see you next year!
