National Trust of Guernsey extends a warm welcome to The Guernsey Glee Singers at the third of the Summer Courtyard Concerts 2018, held at The Folk and Costume Museum Courtyard, Saumarez Park on Saturday 21st July at 3pm.
The Guernsey Glee Singers is a dynamic mixed voice choir, ranging from experienced singers through to novices; where music techniques are taught in parallel with the repertoire each week. The choir is led by the talented and enthusiastic young conductor and vocal coach, Lydia Pugh. A variety of performances culminating with a Christmas Concert, including new music as well as the much loved classics, are enjoyed by Islanders and visitors each year.
At National Trust of Guernsey’s 2017 Christmas Courtyard Market, the Guernsey Glee Singers sang carols around the Courtyard’s Christmas Tree – the highlight of an exciting festive evening.
The Guernsey Glee Singers is now the oldest established choir still in existence in Guernsey. It was founded by Miss A. A. Noel in 1927, to read more about the first ninety years, click here.
